-- T Family Day --

All most all of Jerry's Dad's siblings were out for a reunion. So one afternoon, we had a get together with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and the like.  It was a good time. Nice way to catch up with those from abroad.  Too bad more of our generation couldn't have come out too.

One Saturday shortly before they headed downunder (for SIX weeks!!!) we invited my parents over for dinner ... if I remember correctly it was roast, potatoes and asparagus.  I have been cooking asparagus lately and I was showing my mom how easy and yummy it is!!

I love all the help in the kitchen ... I am always so impressed and surprised how quickly it goes with a  number of extra hands ....

:: Long Lost Friends ::

Much to her parents chagrin :o), Eric, Brenda and family came over Sunday after church and for supper.

Normally when they visit we get a night in but often it is over supper in a quiet restaurant sans kids .... but hey we took what we could get and it turned out MARVELOUS!! It is amazing how it feels so natural and like no time has past.

Yet another thing to be thankful for ... Great Friends even when they live sooooo far away!!!

Our office chair (of over 12 years) bit the dust and we have been on the hunt for one that is good but not ridiculously priced. Well COSTCO here we come. Anyway Dad and Jerry put it together last night. These two get along well but do this kind of thing very differently ....

Dad is more of a "lets get it done right" sort of man
Jerry is more of a "lets get it done fast" sort of man

If nothing else it was entertainment for Mom, Aunt Nel, Aunt Audrey (my parents visitors) and myself.

Nevertheless it is put together and very comfy!!!

Today we say goodbye to our house guests.
It has been fun having Joel and Chantelle here ...
Derek figures when they leave he is jumping on the back of the car and leaving too because it EVERYTHING will be BORING without them here. :o)
... we will survive but we will miss them too!
